The Freedom to Move About

Since 1993, our members have provided more than 650 ramps, giving individuals and families new freedom and the ability to move safely in and out of their homes.

Increasing Accessibility

Each year, MBAKS members and community volunteers build free wheelchair access ramps at homes for neighbors across King and Snohomish counties—because everyone deserves access to their home and community.

  • When: Rampathon season typically runs from April to July. Dates depend on the availability of our volunteer builder members.

  • Who We Help: Individuals with disabilities or limited mobility, including those living with conditions such as cerebral palsy, people recovering from accidents who can no longer safely navigate stairs, and older adults who need easier access in and out of their homes.

  • How Members Contribute: Our members volunteer their time, skills, and resources to design and build ramps that restore safety and independence.

Applications and Participation

Applications for Rampathon 2025 are now closed. If you’d like to be notified when applications open for the 2026 program, please contact us at stewardship@mbaks.com.

We often receive a large number of applications, and we do our best to match applicants with our available builder members. Due to high demand, we cannot guarantee a ramp for every applicant.
