Making Home Happen

We believe everyone deserves a place to call home.

Our Belief

Everyone deserves a place to call home. Not just four walls, but a place to belong. That belief has guided MBAKS since 1909—and it’s what drives us to keep making home happen.

Who We Are

The Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties (MBAKS) has brought together the people who shape our region’s housing future. With more than 2,400 member companies, we are the largest local homebuilders association in the nation—and a trusted voice for attainable housing in our communities.

We are advocates, working with policymakers to expand housing choices, improve affordability, and strengthen the places we call home. We are neighbors, giving back through projects that build wheelchair ramps, refresh nonprofit facilities, restore local parks, and fund scholarships for the next generation of builders.

Our identity is rooted in both advocacy and action. Our mission is bigger than homes—it’s about people, neighborhoods, and the future we all share. With the strength of our members and partners, we’re making home happen in real, tangible ways every day.
